Material

VAKKA's Green Kombucha is intense and tartly fresh in style with notes of tart green apples and it has a complex and fruity aftertaste with fine tea notes.

Unfiltered, unpasteurized and uncarbonated. Home brewed and unique.

State controlled organic. Fermented on our own tea and a little organic cane sugar. The tea we use for our kombucha is actually "leftovers" from our tea brewing in the shop. When we have brewed the leaves for the first time, we freeze them. We take them out and then make another brew when we have to start a new batch of kombucha. We thought that was sustainable. We neither pasteurize nor microfilter, so that all the good properties are kept in the kombucha. Unopened, it will keep in the fridge for months. After opening, it is best within a day or 2.

VAKKA's Green kombucha, like our other products, is organic, and we are constantly working to make our products and production more sustainable. Kombucha is sold in either 250 ml or 1000 ml.

Info about VAKKA's Kombucha:

  • Kombucha is a fermented tea drink that originally originates from Asia. Fermentation of food is something that is known from all parts of the world, thus in the Nordics we have fermented milk products and obtained yoghurt and A38.
  • Our production of kombucha completely follows the traditional way of producing the drink
  • There is no added sugar, flavorings, herbs or juice in VAKKA's kombucha, so you get a taste of authenticity and pure health
  • Kombucha is known for its many health-promoting properties. These properties are due, among other things, to the fact that kombucha is produced on a strain of bacteria called SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast).

If you want to know more about kombucha, we have written a number of blogs which, among other things, tell something about the SCOBY, some of the health-promoting properties that kombucha has, as well as a blog about the history of kombucha and where the product comes from.

See our product blog, where you can also gain knowledge about tea and get some inspiration for how you can use our tea products.
